Google Analytics (GA) is not 100% accurate. GA puts a cookie on website visitors’ browsers when they visit your website. This limits the tracking capability when the user clears their cookies, uses a different browser, visits your site using a private browser, or uses their mobile device instead of a desktop. In all those cases, GA would see the users as “new” even though they had previously been on your site.
