How long do people stay on my website?

Analytics show that your website has 15 seconds to get someone’s attention. It’s safe to say that the 15-second window will just get smaller in the coming years. Your website has to be exactly what the visitor is looking for when they land on your site. If you’re not, they’ll leave quickly. This “bounce” (when people leave the first page they saw on your site without visiting another page) is damaging to your Google search rankings. In Google’s eyes, high bounce rates and low visit times means you’re not what people are looking for. You have 15 seconds to prove that you have the answers. You can use Google Analytics to see your average page view time and bounce rate. Google Analytics shows that data by page, which allows you to see which pages you need to improve.
