What makes a great print ad?

There are four parts to a print ad: headline, body copy (or text), illustration, and signature. The headline and illustration are the two most important parts. The body copy should address the benefits of the product or service. Your signature (like your logo or slogan) is important so that the customers know who is making the offer. It should be easy to read but not pull away from the focus of the headline or image. Be sure your final design has plenty of white space. That makes the rest of the content stand out more.
