Why do I see ads for websites I’ve visited?

Tracking codes are installed on most websites. Google has tracking codes on 75% of the top 1 million sites on the internet. If you’re using Google Ads, you can target users based on the websites they’ve visited. If you want, you can go even further by targeting based on the items left in a cart or the products that were viewed. Facebook has the same type of tracking code. It is called the Facebook Pixel. You use it to target ads at your website visitors when they are on Facebook and/or Instagram.
