Why do websites always have the logo in the top left-hand corner?

People read websites the way they read books: from left to right & top to bottom. Our brains have been trained to read websites that way. When customers visit a website with a logo somewhere else, they subconsciously think something is wrong. Your website needs to be simple, clean, and easy-to-use for your customers. Don’t throw them off with the first thing they see: your logo.
